Lost But Not Forgotten

George Stone

 

It is with deep regret that the Audubon Fire Department announces the passing of Chief George Stone.  

A lifelong resident of Audubon until retiring to Sewell, George joined the Audubon Heavy Rescue in 1960 and was a 1965 graduate of Audubon High School.  He joined Defender Fire Company in 1965 and served as the Chief for many years .  He entered the US Marines Thundering Third Battalion 4th Division from 1966-1969 serving oversees in Vietnam from 1967-1968.   .  George was also a fireman at the US Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia from 1975-1998.  George was an active fundraiser for numerous organizations including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital, CHOP and an advocate for local, special needs individuals.

Michael R. McCausland

 It is with deep regret that the Audubon Fire Department announces the passing of Michael R. McCausland.  Michael was a life member and also served as a Lieutenant with the Department.  . The Officers and members of the Audubon Fire Department extend our deepest sympathies to the McCausland family. 

Kenneth L. Robertson

October 4, 1942 - October 9, 2021 

 

On October 9, 2021, of Mt. Ephraim, NJ.  Age 79 years.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Elaine Robertson and parents, Henry Angus and Joyce (nee Shaw) Robertson, Jr.  Ken is lovingly survived by his daughter, Christine Dutill; grandchildren, Nicole and Jacob; brother, Henry Angus III (Lorraine) and nieces, Patricia Robertson and Debbie Wheaton.

Ken served his country and community proudly.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of OEM, MEFD, CERT, Audubon Fire Police, VFW, American Legion, Camden Light Artillery and Square Circle.  He will be dearly missed.

William Pearce

We are in deep regret that the Audubon Fire department announces the passing of William Pearce. William Pearce passed On January 15, 2020, at Age of 90. He was a  lifetime member of the Audubon Fire Department 

Walter G. "BUD" Schaefer

 We are in deep regret that the Audubon Fire department announces the passing  Bud Schaefer. Walter passed away on  On November 1, 2019,  at the age of 93.  In 1948 Bud became a volunteer fireman for Audubon Fire Department  and was an honorable member for 71 years reaching the position of Assistant Chief.
